Møbelkompagniet's e-mail marketing setup lacked structure, and they needed a more streamlined approach to managing their e-mail marketing, including creating and distributing newsletters combining sales and branding. Without the necessary in-house expertise, it became evident that outsourcing their e-mail marketing was the optimal solution.

The Solution

Building a personalised e-mail marketing setup


We began by auditing Møbelkompagniet’s Klaviyo setup to identify gaps and ensure the proper technical configuration of lists, segmentation, tracking, and domains. Although the basics were in place, their e-mail marketing setup did not leverage the power of personalisation.

To address this, we rebuilt their e-mail flows by focusing on personalisation. For instance, the “welcome flow” tailored e-mails to the subscriber’s sign-up source, resulting in higher engagement and conversions. The “viewed product flow” gave personalised recommendations based on the browsed product categories, driving significant performance improvements.

Using Custimy as a Customer Data Platform, we introduced intelligent segmentation and data-driven automation, creating a scalable, high-performing e-mail marketing strategy that strengthened customer engagement and loyalty.

  • Revenue from automated e-mails grew by 118%, despite sending 46% fewer e-mails
  • Website traffic generated from e-mails grew by 16%
  • Open rates increased by 13%
